All good things, they say, must come to an end. That’s true for me. I’ve notified Steptoe that I’ll be retiring at the end of 2024.
That marks 46 years since I joined the firm in 1978, though I’ve left and returned more times than any other lawyer. I’m deeply grateful to the firm for allowing me the freedom to do that, and
to pursue a unique law practice.
My future plans include continuing to do legal and policy work for a few clients under my own name at www.stewartbaker.net . My new business email address is
[email protected]. And my phone remains +1 (202) 709-6402.
I also hope to revive the Cyberlaw Podcast on an occasional basis, so if you’re a subscriber, don’t delete that feed.
That said, my immediate plan is to participate in the Canadian Ski Marathon in February. I may have already bored you with tales of finishing the entire 100 miles – in 1977 – and I’m going to see
how close I can get to that this year.
In closing, I apologize for sending this message as a blast email, particularly if you end up getting multiple versions of it, but unfortunately it’s the most efficient way to get the news out.
Stewart
