From an op-ed for the New York Daily News:
there are widespread reports that North Korea launches its cyberattacks from the luxurious Chilbosan Hotel in Shenyang, China. Perhaps a previously unknown cyberarmy should simply take down the hotel's power and telephone service and threaten worse.
There's a risk that such tactics would lead to conflict between the U.S. and China, but China can avoid that by closing the haven it has provided for attacks on America. These are not easy options to contemplate. But flinching from such conflicts will lead to escalation of another kind, as every tin-pot dictator in the world discovers that Americans can be intimidated on the cheap. Like it or not, history is calling.
